We never look at your photos
Your gallery is yours alone. No employee of FamilyPhotoGallery views, browses, or accesses your images — ever. We have no reason to, and no system that allows it.
No AI scanning your memories
We don't feed your photos into any AI model, advertising system, or data pipeline. Your images are not training data. They exist on our servers for one reason: so you can see them.
No ads — not now, not ever
We are paid by your subscription. We have no advertisers, no sponsored content, and no financial incentive to know anything about you beyond your payment method.
Private by default
Your gallery is locked behind credentials only you hold. Nothing is public unless you choose to share a link. We cannot make your photos visible — and neither can anyone else without your login.
Your data is never sold
We don't sell, share, or license your data to any third party — not metadata, not usage patterns, not anything. Your family's information leaves our servers only when you export it.
Built on open source
We use Immich — an open-source, auditable photo platform with no hidden code. You're not trusting a black box. The software we use is publicly inspectable by anyone.
Why this matters
The big photo platforms — Google Photos, Amazon Photos, Apple iCloud — are convenient, but they are run by companies whose business models depend on knowing as much about you as possible.
Your photos reveal where you live, where your children go to school, who your friends and family are, and how you spend your time. That's an extraordinarily personal data set to hand to an advertising company.
We built FamilyPhotoGallery because we believe there should be an alternative: a service that is simply paid to store your photos, and nothing else.
